Quiet

I hope you enjoy the journey with me to know and understand just how loved we are, just how amazing the God of all existence is, and just how strong our spiritual longings are.

Mercy, Search Me and Know Me.

"Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life." - Psalm 139:24

Search me and know me oh Lord.

These are the most precious words in the English language.

I could not be known without repentance.

Repentance is the active part of my faith, the quiet place where I find all my hope. There is no sweeter experience for me then to be with my God and have Him show me the ways I can be more like Him.

I can’t wait until the next time I meet Him there to revel in awe at all the goodness He is. Let Him search me and find me, find the me I’m meant to be. I look forward to that place of comfort and certainty in His work in me.

If there is one thing I’m sure of, it is that God is always good and He wants to impart his transformative wisdom

into my heart. He wants to place His fingerprint on my soul. He is the author of all salvation and His song is an irresistible sap.

Psalm 119:103 “How sweet your words taste to me; they are sweeter than honey.”

There is no greater delight in my short mortal existence then to get a glimpse of heaven through repentance, as He shows me pieces of the sanctified holiness I will be.

I search for letters of the new name He will give me.

Rev 2:17 “And I will give to each one a white stone, and on the stone will be engraved a new name that no one understands except the one who receives it.”

Search me and know me oh Lord.

I find my comfort here.

Lord keep changing me.

This is the cry of my heart.

Give me a burden to hide away with you and allow you to bring light to all my dark places.

2 Cor 7:10 “For the kind of sorrow God wants us to experience leads us away from sin and results in salvation. There's no regret for that kind of sorrow. But worldly sorrow, which lacks repentance, results in spiritual death.”

Please forgive me Father.

I confess. My sorrow is in my impatience. My heart breaks over my bitterness. I grieve over my disobedience. My mourning is over my unwillingness to love.

Salvation is found in your grace.

Comfort comes from your truth and transformation.
